Sentier découverte du Petit Versailles

In the Bourg, after the church, depart opposite the Multisports Area. Turn right at the riverside lane “La Genette”; to the right is the Dun Mountain with its chapel.
At the crossroads follow “Sarre”; go right towards the hamlet of Sarre. There is a picnic area where you can stop.(1) Follow the lane to the right into the Bois de Sarre. At the end of the pathway cross the woods and arrive at Lake Morne (2). Continue towards “Trappeloup” to the left. At the end of the road RD79 continue until you reach “Bois de Sarre” on your left. 150m further on the right re- enter the woods. ( View over the commune of Gibles and the mountain of Montmelard “Saint Cyr”). Follow the underwood pathway keeping always to your right. At the little bridge on your left go up towards “La Lande”. At the crossroad “Croix de la Lande” (3) go right and follow “Les Bruyeres”
After the old railway house turn left , then follow and cross the railway bridge. Cross the D193 and take “L’Allée Marie Antoinette” towards “Les Colas” and Chateau de Drée.
At the end of the beautiful avenue of Douglas fir trees you will discover our marvellous Castle from the 17th and 18th centuries (guided tours). Follow the park wall of the Chateau de Drée, take the left lane “des Ranches”, “Montprevet” and “Croix de Drée” (4) See our partly Romanesque Church.
