The chapel of the hamlet of Saint-Georges, formerly under the name of Saint-Fortuné, seems to have been founded very long ago. According to a charter of the cartulary of Cluny, it was built in the 10th century. Today, it remains a place of pilgrimage for the "Whites". The members of this anti-concordant religious minority come to pray there, every year, after the feast of Saint-Georges. Near the chapel, the waters of the fountain of Saint-Georges possessed, in popular belief, healing virtues against diseases affecting children: epilepsy or rickets.
