This year, the Night of Reading will honour our heritage, and it was an obvious choice for us to choose Colette, as a "treasure to be treasured".
She was born in Burgundy, was wildly free and enjoyed all the pleasures nature had to offer, and knew how to capture her sensations intact in her writings: the touch of a tree, the softness of a caress, the taste of a slice of toasted butter.
It's this gourmet Colette that we invite you to discover on this day dedicated to her. Come and enjoy readings, a film and a talk by Samia Bordji, director of the Musée Colette. The day will end with a gourmet tasting à la Colette!
3pm to 4pm: readings of Colette's texts on gourmet delights by volunteers from the network
4pm to 4.30pm: screening of the documentary film on Colette's house, shot by the Mollat bookshop
5pm to 6.30pm: Conference on Colette and gourmet food by Samia Bordji, Director of the Musée Colette, and discussion
After 6.30pm: tasting of Colette's delicacies.
