Jazz concert, all audiences. Duration: 1h30.
Concert supported by the CRJ (Centre Régional du Jazz) Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
Among the Chinooks, North American Indians, the potlatch is a system of exchange based on giving. With "Potlatch", a jazz quintet from Bisontin (soprano saxophone, trombone, drums, bass and double bass), music is based on exchange.
Each member's influences are mixed together to form an emulsion that is always different, but which is invariably based on the same pleasure of playing together.
"Potlatch" offers an eclectic music, without genre boundaries and with sounds borrowed from the Middle East, the Balkans and the Americas. Each piece is an almost cinematographic object, with its setting, its narration, its meeting points, its surprises. Films to be listened to over and over again, because they are always renewed.
Florent Ormond : soprano saxophone, duduk - Constantin Meyer : trombone, snake - Jordan Teixeira : guitars - Hugo Dordor : drums - Louis Vicérial : bass.
